My goal this year for Barktober Fest is to raise $3,000! Last year was the first year I signed up with a team and I ended up raising $2,474.75 and was the #3 top fundraiser. This year I'm hoping to be the #2 top fundraiser. Our team is having a garage sale on August 20th but we are going to have to think of some creative ways to raise money if we are going to reach our goal. I think the competition from the other teams will be higher this year also.

Feline Frenzy Free Cats at Lollypop Farm

On July 7th Lollypop Farm the Humane Society of Greater Rochester hosted a free cat adoption day that broke records. Tomorrow August 11th they are doing it again. Due to an extreeme need for cats to get adopted they are having another free day. Currently there are 500 cats at the shelter. Cats will be free at all 4 of their locations.

Free adoption includes:

Spaying and neutering

Feline leukemia testing

Vaccinations and deworming

A certificate for a free health exam

A 30-day gift of pet health insurance

Microchipping 

Advantage flea-control treatment

Rochester Cutest Dog Contest

Bailey and Peanut's modeling pictures came in! They came out amazing!! I entered Bailey's picture in a cutest dog contest for the Rochester radio station 106.7 Kiss FM. I have to find the perfect frames for the pictures now.

Canoeing at Boughton Park

My mom's dog Ollie loves to go out on the canoe! Even at 15 hes still young at heart. Ollie does pretty well off leash and is very friendly so he is the easiest to take out for a ride. His favorite part is when we get going fast he sticks a paw in to feel the water or grab a quick drink. He did attempt to tip us in more than once tho!

2 Fast Fur U @ Barkaritaville!

The 2 Fast Fur U Flyball team at the Barkaritaville competition in Massachusetts. Peanut wasn't able to go but her friends did an awesome job!

Lollypop Farm Young Professionals Barktober Fest Team

1st Annual Young Professionals Barktober Fest Team Kickoff Event is being held on Aug. 9th  at Dog E. Woggy's K-9 Playtime. The Kickoff Event is an opportunity to come join the group, mingle and socialize with others! But not just for us humans, for our pets too! Please bring your puppies to join the fun. We will have door prizes, such as "cutest dog" and others. Collar Me Up is donating one of their stylish collars as a prize! We will also be WAIVING the $30 registration FEE. My favorite kitties again at Lollypop. I always spend a lot of time with them on Sunday afternoons. I imagine that they miss living in a home with a human of their own. They are all soo affectionate, I don't want them to loose that sweetness.

I'm happy to say that Lollypop Farm has amazing supporters that donate cat towers, scratching posts, beds, toys, and treats for all of the cats. All of these things make a huge difference in their happiness while they are at the shelter. You can view the full wish list here.
